The initial deposit amount for issuing COEs has been reduced to $1500

There is now flexibility on visa refusals due to onshore students needing to be enrolled.

There is also leniency with the admissions process and issuing of offer letters.

All students who are currently on a subclass 600 visa and are onshore, will have their GTE requirement approved pending submission of their GTE statement. Individuals who are onshore and are applying for a student visa from a subclass 600 visa, should be considered a lower risk at this time. Such individuals will not be required to provide evidence of financial capacity and only a signed Financial Declaration form will be required from them.

Turn-around-times for onshore applications will be paramount and the expected 24 hours TAT for onshore applications will be strictly adhered to - without exception.
